Board of Directors

John Hogan
Mr. Hogan is the founder and CEO of TeenForce. Serving as the founding partner and CEO of Princeton Capital highlighted his successful 24-year career in the mortgage industry. After retiring, he earned an MBA from Santa Clara University where he presented the TeenForce concept as his final project. He also has a BA in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley. In 2015, Mr. Hogan earned the Jefferson Award for his contributions to the community’s youth.

Mariam Abrahams
Ms. Abrahams has 26 years of experience in the banking industry. She is an assistant vice president at U.S. Bank and manager of the bank’s flagship branch in Santana Row. Ms. Abrahams also mentors new branch managers and is a class advisor to the leader trainees in the Branch Management Training Program. She was a branch manager at Chase for 13 years prior to joining U.S. Bank. Ms. Abrahams has been an active community volunteer at the United Veterans Council of Santa Clara County, Second Harvest Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, and Los Gatos Music and Arts, and has served as a member of both the Los Gatos and Santa Clara Chambers of Commerce.

Greg Berardi
Mr. Berardi founded Blue Marlin Partners and has over 25 years of marketing and media-related experience. He has managed marketing, public relations, and investor relations programs for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to mid-sized and early-stage companies. Prior to founding Blue Marlin Partners, Mr. Berardi worked for Bank of America, Fidelity Investments and InsWeb. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Journalism from California State University, Sacramento.

Alan Feinberg, Chairman
Mr. Feinberg is a former executive and corporate advisor. During the first 20 years of his successful career, he held positions in sales, marketing, business development, and general management for companies in the Electronic Design Automation industry. In the 10 years that followed, he has served as an interim executive, advisory board member, and consultant to early-stage technology ventures. Mr. Feinberg holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester, and a Masters in Business Administration from Northeastern University.

Sarah Johnston, CPA
Ms. Johnston is a private consultant, providing bookkeeping and accounting consulting services to small businesses and non-profits. She also teaches non-profit accounting and tax seminars to local non-profit groups. She has worked as a Manager at Petrinovich Pugh and Co., chaired the firm’s non-profit committee, and served as a financial analyst with Hall Kinion and Associates. She is also a Director and Finance Committee Chair for the Los Gatos Education Foundation and a mentor for the Silicon Valley Planned Giving Council. She has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Pomona College and an Master of Science in Accounting from San Jose State University.

Mike LaTourette, Secretary
Mr. LaTourette is a real estate broker with Gallagher and Miersch Commercial Brokerage. The company specializes in site selection for land developers and retail clients. He has also been a real estate manager for Albertson’s, Boston Market, Home Express, and Orchard Supply Hardware. Mr. LaTourette served for 9 years on the board of directors for Goodwill of Silicon Valley. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from San Jose State University.

David Mewes
Mr. Mewes has been the CEO at Wafernet—a supplier of silicon wafers to the technology industry—for over 20 years. Prior to that, he worked for both Fairchild and Applied Materials. Before joining the TeenForce board, he served on the board for Silicon Valley Children’s Fund, an organization focused on educational support for foster youth. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Stanford and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard.

Mike Saviage
Mr. Saviage is vice president of investor relations at Adobe, one of the largest software companies in the world, and has managed the company’s relationship with the investment community since 1999.  He has more than 25 years of technology industry experience spanning a variety of disciplines including engineering, customer support, consulting services, sales and investor relations.  Mr. Saviage earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and in Mathematics with an emphasis in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Santa Clara University.

Gloria Aquino Valdovino
Ms. Valdovino is a salaried professional services manager at Robert Half in San Jose, and has nearly 20 years of experience in the staffing Industry. Previously, Ms. Valdovino was the founder and general manager of G-Force Staffing and the co-founder of Pulse Healthcare Staffing. She and her family have volunteered with the Tulong Sa-Lunat Mission, bringing relief to impoverished villagers in the Philippines. Ms. Valdovino holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University and has earned the designations of Certified Staffing Professional (CSP) and Technical Services Certified (TSC) from the American Staffing Association.
